Why I like Rachael
I like her because she’s a weirdo, like me.
Many, many reasons. Too many to mention here I think. But I guess what’s most important is that Erik is a lovely person, kind and generous. I’m currently staying with him in his family’s home.
Meeting him has been great, something I’ve been looking forward to all year (it’s been planned for a while you know). And it’ll be so hard to get back on the plane home.
His avatar is probably quite accurate really; because whilst he is cute and loveable, he can also make very cutting remarks.
I’ve discovered that Rachael is just like me in many ways. But that’s just one of the many reasons why I want to meet her.
She is very interesting to listen to. She has the most insightful views on things, which makes me want to know her even more.
Plus she’s very nice and kind. And I like her accent :)
He’s fun to talk to, he doesn’t mind (and actually encourages) me correcting him, he makes me laugh and he’s a great person.
I hope I can get to know him better, oh, did I mention he’s interesting too? :)
Making reading ‘cool’ for so many young children, and quite a few older ones too :) Mainly, because the number of young boys who have now developed an interest in reading, through the HP series, is very encouraging.
He seems like a very level-headed young man and I think it would be easy to have a casual chat with him (unlike most of the other people in my list). I wouldn’t quiz him on the HP role, as I wouldn’t be confident enough that I’d be asking him anything new. Instead I’d ask him about his future plans and more importantly, what his favourite things to do right now are, whilst he’s still young and allowed to be a little reckless :)
I met dancey over a pond of hungry ducks (which we did feed), and latterly, over a pool table (of which I won a few games).
